Celebrate the changing seasons with a cozy evening in the studio crafting a functional piece of fall decor for your kitchen. In this relaxed workshop, you will sculpt and texture soft clay to shape a unique leaf-inspired spoon rest that brings warmth and charm to your countertop all season long.
No prior ceramic experience is necessary as you learn simple slab-building, slumping, and surface detailing techniques to form your piece. You will learn how to carve or stamp intricate vein details onto the clay, cut out delicate autumn contours, and curve the edges to cradle your favorite cooking utensils. Once your spoon rest is sculpted, you will select your choice of vibrant glazes from our studio palette to highlight the carved textures.
All clay, tools, glazes, and double-firing services are included. Ensure you wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little clay-dusted. Following the session, our studio team will handle the drying, glazing, and firing process.
