Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art

Spend an evening in the ceramic studio making a one-of-a-kind set for serving milk and cookies.  No prior pottery experience is necessary as you learn core hand-building techniques including slab construction, coiling, and pinching. You will learn how to form the platter and cup, and add textured surface details through carving or stamping before selecting rich glazes from our studio palette. All clay, sculpting tools, glazes, and double-firing services are included. Just show up in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. After class, our studio team will handle the drying, glazing, and firing, leaving your finished  milk and cookie set food-safe and ready to serve all your favorite treats.
