We'll guide you through the essential foundational skills, starting with the vital techniques of wedging and centering the clay, and moving quickly into throwing functional vessels of various shapes and sizes. You'll master altering forms and assembling multi-part pieces on the wheel. But we don't stop at the spin. You will explore the complex transformation of clay, covering everything from understanding clay bodies and utilizing professional tools, to unlocking brilliant results with various glazing techniques.

With personalized guidance to help you reach your individual goals, you’ll leave with more than just pots—you’ll gain the skills to create beautiful, tangible ceramic masterpieces, both functional and sculptural.

*The class fee includes all your essential supplies: 22 ½ pounds of clay, tools, glazes, and firing for the session. With a student-to-instructor ratio of 8:1, you can count on plenty of individual attention.
