You'll master altering forms and assembling multi-part pieces on the wheel. But we don't stop at the spin. You will explore the complex transformation of clay, covering everything from understanding clay bodies and utilizing professional tools, to unlocking brilliant results with various glazing techniques.
With personalized guidance to help you reach your individual goals, you’ll leave with more than just pots—you’ll gain the skills to create beautiful, tangible ceramic masterpieces, both functional and sculptural.
*The class fee includes all your essential supplies: 22 ½ pounds of clay, tools, glazes, and firing for the session. With a student-to-instructor ratio of 8:1, you can count on plenty of individual attention.

We will guide you step-by-step through wedging and centering, before moving into throwing, altering forms, and assembling shapes on the wheel. Beyond the spin, you will experiment with various glazing techniques and learn to use studio tools to finish your work.
Tuition covers everything you need: 22.5 pounds of clay, tools, glazes, and session firings. All you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to learn. Be sure to wear clothes that you are okay with getting dirty.
With an 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio, you get direct guidance tailored to your goals. You will leave with finished ceramic pieces and a grounding, fun new skill.
